I recently went on a trip to see Las Vegas, Nevada, and I can tell you that it was wonderful. I’m not really a gambler or a card player (i still don’t know what poker is); however, there was still many fun things to do. We got to see some performances and big shows, stand up comedy acts, and don’t even get me started on all of the amazing food. If you’re ever in Vegas, I believe it is imperative that you eat at the breakfast buffet in the Bellagio. They had every food imaginable, I wish I could eat breakfast there everyday for the rest of my life.
I also went on a day trip to see the Hoover Dam, as it was only about a 45 minute drive. We got to see the inside and outside. Something really cool was the power generators inside the dam, which each weigh about 600 tons. I’m glad I got to see it, this technological marvel is basically our modern day equivalent of the Egyptian pyramids. I also learned that it was built in only 4 years, which is insane to me. In my city, road construction alone takes many years, so I can’t imagine how hard it must have been to build the dam in only four.
I hope you enjoy my photos! I feel really proud of them. I look forward to when I can go back and see the beautiful Vegas lights and shows again.
